Car Transport Booking Overview
The Downland volunteers provide private car transport for doctors' appointments, hospital visits, opticians or dentist appointments and other appointments that may be required.
As well as transportation to local doctors' surgeries we can take passengers to hospital appointments in Newbury, Reading, Oxford, Basingstoke, and Swindon.
We do not make a charge for our services but we do ask that you make a contribution towards our drivers' mileage costs. The level of contribution is different depending on the length of journey made.

Please give as much notice as possible about your transport requirements (at least four days notice).
The office volunteer will take your booking and try to find a driver for your journey.
They will phone you back when they have a match and confirm what contribution cost you will be invited to make on your day of travel.
